How does it work?

  • We typically feed 50-60 people each week:

    1. Main dish

    2. Salad

    3. Bread and butter

    4. Dessert

  • It isn’t necessary that one person cook enough for everyone; if 4 or 5 people can provide enough for about 12 servings each, that will meet our needs.

  • Avoid common food allergens such as nuts and shellfish.

    1. Casseroles

    2. A meat of some kind and rice or potatoes

    3. Lasagna

    4. Pasta salad (best for summer meals)

      1. Some of our friends are vegetarian, so consider making a meatless main dish in addition to one with meat.

      2. Keep in mind that some of our friends have dental issues, so things that require strong teeth – carrots, apples, etc. – are discouraged.

    1. Green leafy vegetables primarily; other veggies are added as requested

      1. Cherry or grape tomatoes

      2. Mushrooms

      3. Blueberries, dried cranberries, other berries

    2. We usually have plenty of salad dressing, but if you have one that complements your salad, we’ll happily accept it!

    1. Any kind of bread is welcomed. Hawaiian rolls are a favorite

    2. Butter should be in pats if possible.

    1. Cookies, cupcakes, sliced cakes – think ease of serving

    2. Leftover Hallowe’en, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, and Easter candies are always a big hit!
